Emperor Topilpopoca of Xiomera Offers Aid and Search Teams in Rare Support of Foreign Nation

Emperor Topilpoca of Xiomera, in a never before seen stance from the totalitarian regime, offered "aid workers, search teams, and recovery specialists and equipment to Zamastan" with the government's permission. This is the first time that the shadowy regime leader has ever offered direct aid to a foreign nation, and comes at an especially surprising time when Zamastan and Xiomera are locked in a wide-ranging trade dispute. Negotiations for a mediation are currently on going in Eiria.

Trade Secretary Trista Demore, who is in Eiria for the conference, lost her husband in the quake. Her two sons are safe, according to state media. Emperor Topilpopoca declared that the disaster “reminds us that there are things far more important than the petty matters that we often concern ourselves with.”

Three Xiomeran citizens were killed in the quake, among hundreds of other foreign citizens.

Businesses in Xiomera that were participating in an ongoing boycott of trade goods from Zamastan lifted their boycotts in response to the quake, a move which is moving towards good faith in the hopes of a resolution to the trade dispute. So far, Q# 13,000,000 has been raised for an earthquake relief fund, which will be used to provide funds to local Zamastanian relief efforts.

“Despite being businesspeople, we do also have a heart for those in need,” Xocolcōza, CEO of Cala Computer Corporation and Chairman of the XBA, said in announcing the XBA Disaster Relief Fund. “We hope that these funds can provide assistance with recovering from this tragic disaster.”

Zamastanian authorities have been quoted saying that they will be accepting all foreign assistance, including that of the Xiomeran's.
