A massive aftershock hit the Coastal Valley little more than a day after the largest and most devastating earthquake in the last century hit the region. As rescuers continued to dig through the rubble on Sunday, an aftershock measuring in at 6.9 on the Richter scale hit the region.
The aftershock does not appear to have caused any additional fatalities to Saturday's 8.3 magnitude tremor, which has killed over 4,300 people. The shock did, however, manage to terrify and keep the residents of the Coastal Valley on edge and in anticipation of a possible larger quake to come.
Stay tuned for more updates.
